LexUp is a fun and interactive English vocabulary learning application. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users at the highest level and maintaining transparency. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why, and how, so you can use our application with confidence.

2. Data We Collect (Only Necessities)

2.1 Registration and Profile Information (Login with Google or Facebook)

When you log into the app with your social media accounts (Google or Facebook), we only receive the minimum information strictly required for your account to function:

• Email address: Used to verify your account and sync your in-game progress. It is never shared with or shown to other users.
• Profile picture (if available): Shown only on your personal device or profile screen as a personal touch. Not published on leaderboards or public areas.

2.2 The Only Publicly Displayed Information: "Nickname"

To ensure maximum privacy, we ask you to choose a unique Nickname when you first start the game. In Leaderboards (Global Rankings), rankings, or competitive match screens, ONLY your chosen Nickname will be displayed. Your real name, surname, or email address will never be seen by other players.

2.3 Game Data

To personalize your gaming experience and allow you to resume right where you left off when you change devices (e.g., switching to a new phone), we securely store the following data:

• English words you have learned
• Your game scores, points, and Elo ranking
• Your progress level and in-app achievements

3. Data Usage and Strict Rules

We never sell your data, use it for unauthorized marketing purposes, or share it with unauthorized third parties. The data we collect is solely used for the following purposes:

• Saving your in-game progress and syncing it via the cloud (cross-device backup).
• Ensuring competition on leaderboards (only with your chosen Nickname).
• Creating a personalized learning experience by presenting words at a difficulty level that suits you.
• Analyzing potential bugs or crashes to improve app performance.

4. Data Security

All your user data is encrypted and protected on Google Firebase's world-class, highly secure servers. Since we only collect limited and necessary data, your personal security risk is minimized.

5. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted third-party service providers to deliver essential features:

• Google Firebase: Authentication, database (game saves), and app analytics.
• Meta (Facebook) Login & Google Auth: Providing a fast and secure login experience.
• Google AdMob: Displaying in-game ads to keep the application free.

These services have their own strict security rules and privacy policies.

6. Children's Privacy

Although we are an education-focused application, because email or social network logins are required, our app is intended for users aged 13 and above. The app does not feature messaging or chat with other users, thereby preventing risks of cyberbullying or child exploitation.

7. Your Right to Direct Data Deletion

You have full control over your account. If you wish to permanently delete all your game progress, email registration, and username from our system:

• You can use the "Settings > Delete Account" feature within the app.
• Or, you can send an email with your data deletion request directly to aldemirolgun@gmail.com. Your request will be processed, and all your data will be permanently deleted as soon as possible.
